I have lots of gnomes, I just got a new one today. I name all of them too. If they break I put them back together. I have all kinds of gnome things and you best believe I Gnomeo and Juliet xD

What do you think of the new Gnomeo And Juliet movie that’s coming out?
I love Shakespeare a lot even though I’m just 15. And the movie looks kind of cute but really silly and just plain dumb.
The movie is based on Romeo and Juliet, but with garden gnomes (?) anyway its pretty much for kids and it’s animated.

I’m probably going to see it out of curiosity. Afterall it’s a play full of gory fights and deaths, sex jokes, 13 year old girl having sex with an older teen boy, and a double suicide of the main characters at the end. I’m curious how they’re going to translate that into a kids cartoon.

I think romeo and juliet is shakespeare’s most over used plays of all time, and it’s not even one of his best. All in all gnomeo and juliet looks like it could be entertaining i’m just tired of the plot of 2 young lovers seperated by their families and they would do anything to be with each.
I think another remake just proves that american cinema hasn’t had any new ground breaking stories in awhile; every movie is a book-to-movie feature or a remake that they think will earn some profit.

I just adopted my first after taking my grand-daughter to the movie, “Gnomeo and Juliet” a month or so ago. I now feel I need at least another in the flower garden.

Censoring commercials/trailers but not movie? Vice-Versa?
I just saw the movie Gnomeo and Juliet and I realized that there is a difference between what is shown on a commercial for it and the movie. In the commercial, you see a male gnome in a bathing suit skipping through a garden. His backside is completely covered. In the movie, however, the bathing suit is a string bikini and you can see gnome buttock. Why would they censor a commercial but not the movie? It almost seems if they’re trying not to offend someone, they’re going to end up drawing people into the theatre and then offend them anyways.
Vice-Versa, when Spiderman was being advertised long ago, there was a scene where Spiderman was in the elevator and when asked about his costume he stated “It rides up in the crotch.” In the movie, it was more tame and he said “it rides up in the back.” Obviously the commercial would’ve been more “offensive” in this situation.
Why is there that difference in commercials and movies…even if they seemed reversed of what would be considered offense.

The trailer is often created while the movie is still being edited. Sometimes scenes are reshot or redubbed after the trailer is made.
